The pride locals have in their Greek culture has been one of the most inspiring parts of this trip for me. After finishing my first year of college, I’ve realized that I am constantly searching for my passion and purpose. My life a year ago was drastically different from what it is now, and I’m learning to embrace that change instead of fear it. Siya and I talked this morning about how we went from being full time athletes to full time students, and how much that transition has changed us. Seeing the pride Greeks have in their identity and culture has inspired me to become more confident in my own identity and continue discovering who I am.
