Hi, my name is Gus Coleman and I am a rising second year at the University of Pittsburgh’s College of Business Administration. I am planning on majoring in Business Information Systems, Business Analytics, and Psychology. I am initially from northern Virginia, right below Washington DC. For professional experience I have worked as a life guard, shadowed the founder of a company called Capitol CNCT, and am currently working as an Operations Attendant at the Pitt RWC. In my free time I like to exercise and read and watch TV. Regarding a future career, I would like to work with data systems, data management, or maybe one day start my own business.
I am excited to visit Argentina this summer and learn about its healthcare system and culture. The intersection of culture, economy, and public policy creates a unique learning environment. Being able to see Argentina’s healthcare system firsthand will give me a better understanding on how a growing nation navigates the challenges of universal healthcare and how the public policy interacts with its economic practices. Beyond academics, I am excited to explore Argentinian culture. I am especially excited to explore Argentina’s night life, try new foods, and learn the tango. This trip feels like it offers a perfect blend of education and adventure which will give me a better perspective on business and the world.
