Today in Greece was an action-packed day filled with activities and walking. It started with a lecture from the University of Nicosia, about the science behind peptides and proteins. This was a very interesting lecture, and I learned so much that I never knew before. One of these things was the clinical trials process that peptides and other medicine go through before being launched at large. It starts with small testing on individuals and then moves to a larger test group before finally having a test run on the market. After this, we took a guided visit through the Benaki museum. This museum went through the history of Greece and had a lot of artifacts that were extremely interesting. One of these that really intrigued me was a painting of the four horsemen of the apocalypse. It really highlighted the history and transition of Christianity. Lastly, we visited Lykavittos, which is the highest point in Athens. This provided a unique sight of Athens and a beautiful view. Overall, it was a really fun day!
