A Day in my Eyes

Today as a group we all went back to the University of Nicosia’s branch campus. To start the day we received a very interesting lecture on the advancing technology in chemistry. Specifically research on peptides and their potential uses. It was amazing to get a lecture from one of the leading researchers on the topics, he knew so much about the topic and was so interested in it! After that we were lead through the Benaki museum by our guide. The museum was very interesting because it was different than the ones we have been too already, it focused on more recent history. As we walked through the different floors we were taught about the different ages of Greece all the way into world war II. My favorite part of the museum was the recreation of a living room from the 18th century. Lastly we ended our day at the highest point of Athens, Lycabettus Hill. The view from the top was beautiful and the incline ride up reminded me of pittsburgh!
