My first day in Buenos Aires was a really interesting experience and very different from what I am used to back home. The weather was chilly, which made walking around the city feel refreshing and comfortable. One of the first things I noticed was how flat everything was. It made the city feel very open and easy to explore on foot without feeling tired too quickly. Most of the buildings were apartments, and there were so many shops, cafés, and food places packed into every street. The city felt very commercial and busy, but in a good way because there was always something happening around us. Everywhere we walked there were people outside eating, shopping, or spending time together.
Another thing that stood out to me was the architecture and history throughout the city. There were statues everywhere and many older-looking buildings that gave the area a lot of character. Some of the buildings looked very classic and detailed, which made them really cool to see in person. Walking through the streets felt like a mix of modern city life and history all together. Overall, my first day in Buenos Aires gave me a great first impression, and I could already tell it was going to be an exciting experience living and studying here for the next few weeks.
For my Mom on Mother’s Day, I would like to thank her for doing everything she can for me and for how much she provides for me. She is always doing everything she can to ensure my sister and I have a good life, and I can be more grateful for that.
