After a long ride to the town of Nafplion, Greece we travelled a bit farther to find the Theatre of Epidaurus. In this theatre we learned how people from Greece long before us were able to present theatre and arts to large crowds without microphones. They used acoustics and math to create exceptional sound to be heard from the highest rows due to a precise steep bowl design. However, the most important thing I learned came from our tour guide who explained that even though we are technical professionals, having general knowledge and opinions in the arts are just as important. He changed my perspective and now I plan on making sure that I am always learning as much as I can about everything and not just my chosen field of work.
