The pinnacle of life presented itself at Nafplion!

on

Walking into Nafplion center to see what I would describe as the pinnacle of joy, I couldn’t help but feel inspired. Seeing children run around freely playing games with one another and occupying their times with the bubbles that floated around as their parents sat under shaded tables talking amongst one another, undoubtedly sparked something in me. It was a reminder of what a true sense of community could look like. With everyone outside enjoying one another’s company, I was inspired to emulate a space like that as I grow older. It makes me look forward to finding a place that I can call my own with people around me that appreciate the life in which we are living. Yet, the center was not all, with shops and restaurants decked in beautiful greenery, I couldn’t help but go on a photo frenzy amazed at the sight I was taking in.

Additionally, as we had our last day with our brilliant tour guide; Dimitris, he bestowed some unforgettable wisdom on us in his home town, Epidaros, that I believe will stick with me forever. He mentioned that he is aware of our academic journeys to chrome engineers but to remember that to truly be a well-rounded professional, that it goes beyond technical knowledge. Immersing yourself with different artistic practices whether it be reading, drawing or going sightseeing to see how other parts of the world live their lives just went to remind me of why I sought out participation in Plus 3 in the first place. (That said Dimitris if you are reading this: your endless knowledge will be missed)
