We’re Here!

After a few sleepless nights and anticipatory travel days, we finally have arrived in Ecuador!!!!

Flying out of the PITT airport bright and early, we started our travel day on South Beach in Miami. We swam in the water, grabbed a cute lunch, and headed back to the airport for our flight to Ecuador!

We arrived late at night to our hotel, and woke up bright and early around 7:30 this morning to eat breakfast and begin our exploration of Quito. First, we wandered The Cathedral de San Francisco and observed its mass. The church was stunning, and unlike any church I’ve ever seen before. The gold plating and murals really stuck out to me, and was surreal to see with my own eyes.

During our free time, we stopped for a local lunch and tried a few different empanadas,  before heading over to the Basílica del Voto Nacional. Admittedly, I was terrified to climb to the top, but it was rewarding to see the beautiful view. For our final sight of the day, we rode up the Virgen, where we saw a unique perspective of Quito, and a few of the beautiful mountains in Ecuador.
