As we drove around on the bus, I observed numerous shipping containers throughout the port. Some were stacked incredibly high and sat empty, while others were being loaded and transported to different parts of the pier. I also noticed automated cranes carefully lifting containers and placing them onto ships with impressive precision. I learned that shipping containers are specially designed with features that allow them to connect securely and stack efficiently on top of one another.
