Today was another great day in Bilbao! We started off with a tour of Tekniker, a company with a broad field of applications! It was a ginormous facility on top of a mountain with beautiful views. They have applications in science, aerospace, health, and more! They help startup companies in the beginning of their development, and get them ready to put their technology out into the market. They had so many interesting technologies in development, including surgical robots, personalized medicine devices, and ai detectors. The personalized medicine device was so cool, because they can combine several medications into one pill to make it easier for patients to take.

Next, we took a bus to the painted tree forest. It was gorgeous to see the way the trees come together to make artwork! Even though it was really muddy, it was a great experience (my shoes might disagree). After the hike, we went over to Gernika. It was so cool to see the old buildings, parliament, and sculptures. We even saw a cat! It was interesting when we went to the bomb shelter and got to watch the bombings from the citizen’s point of view. I really liked how Gernika was all about peace. After Gernika, we headed back to Bilbao for dinner and gelati! It was another great day in Spain!
