Today our trip was to ALFA LAMBDA, a Greek company that specializes in providing logistics and supply chain services for the healthcare sector. It was very interesting for me to get acquainted with the level of organization and preciseness involved in operating with medical devices. First of all, it impressed me with its silent and very well-organized nature. Although there were people running around all the time, delivering various products to particular departments, everything worked like clockwork. There was no unnecessary rush, and employees seemed to know exactly where to go and what to do next. It was very impressive for me how clean and meticulously arranged the area of storing products was; it shows that there should be no compromises on safety and precision regarding medical devices and instruments. What else fascinated me during this visit is how a large business could be so efficient and silent, while its activity concerns the transportation of goods that are critically important for people’s health. It was also amazing to see a big refrigerator room where temperature is controlled.
