Today, we sat in on a presentation at AlfaOmega Pharma Logistics, where they gave us insight into their business of storing and distributing medicine. Since logistics is a field I might immerse myself in, I was very interested in the presentation. AlfaOmega, like other pharmaceutical logistics companies, is highly regulated, and its storage and transport facilities must meet the highest standards. One notable aspect of the warehouse I observed was that they have separate inbound and outbound loading docks. The separate docks are due to industry regulations, with the pharmaceutical industry being unique in this regard. Since cargo directly affects human lives, additional regulations are put in place to protect consumers. I am thankful for the visit to AlfaOmega, as it gave me insight into another type of logistics that we had not previously delved into.

This brings the Plus3 Greece trip to a close. I am honored and eternally grateful to have participated in this program, and I am looking forward to using the experiences on this trip to my advantage in the future. Andio!
