The Last Day in Greece

on

Today is the last day in our trip to Greece and therefore the last blog from me in Greece. Time flies when you’re having fun. Today we visited AlfaOmega, who are a pharmaceutical logistics company. We walked through their warehouse and learned about their processes. Through this experience i observed how the medicine and drugs are stored very well organized and the whole building was kept cold, to lengthen the lifespan and make sure they are properly maintained. In addition, we learned about how the product is unloaded and loaded onto trucks. What’s interesting to me is how warehouses in general use double check systems and scanners to make sure that they get the right product. I never knew how organized they were and I have a greater appreciation for them now. Along with this, when loading and unloading trucks they have a bubble that expands to make sure the temperature is always maintained. This is a smart and easy way to maintain integrity of the product, and it impressed me. Overall, I had a very fun time today and in Greece as a whole. I’m forever grateful for this opportunity.
