This first picture is from the Bahia Palace where we entered and saw people performing traditional Moroccan music. This was definitely a notable part of the day for me because I believe music is a defining aspect of every culture, and I remember hearing how unique and distinct the Moroccan music was when we heard some radio music before the program.

In the background of this photo there is so much greenery and really beautiful, intricate tiling on the ground. The top of the walls also had super detailed designs, and the open courtyard feature made the area feel bright and airy which I really loved. The unique style of this Moroccan architecture is something I really admire.

I think it’s pretty obvious why this photo is so memorable. Every room in the palace had different, unique ceiling designs. I can’t even describe the beauty of these ceilings, and the chandeliers added the perfect backdrop.

I chose this photo not only because the food was delicious but because it featured samosas, which is a traditional dish in Indian cuisine. I was surprised to see it served in Morocco, and this time with a sweetened version I’d never seen before. It was so yummy!

Visiting Bloty was a surreal experience. I wasn’t aware about the variety of spices, lotions, perfumes, and oils that could be used for health benefits. I was fascinated that they had products for stress, insomnia, period cramps, hair loss, and more. I didn’t think I would buy anything, but everyone from our class left with multiple items thanks to their amazing salesman!
