Seoul Speed Ahead

Day 10:

Today we sadly left Pohang, but we were heading back to Seoul. Before getting back to Seoul though, we had a really exciting stop planned, Hyundai Motor Company.

We started by visiting the museum and learning more about Hyundai’s history. After that, we got to actually tour the factory itself and see how the cars are produced. I think the coolest part was learning that Hyundai uses smart production lines, which means they can produce multiple different types of cars all on the same line. From the bus, we were also able to watch the finished cars get loaded onto giant ships. It was honestly crazy how fast they were driving the cars and how efficiently they were able to line everything up.

From Hyundai, we headed to the train station to take the KTX back to Seoul. Before getting on the train though, we stopped at a Korean Starbucks. And if you didn’t already know this about me, I’m a fiend for Starbucks, so of course I had to try some Korean menu items. I got a chocolate mousse cake that was SO good.

Then we boarded the train, and it honestly felt crazy that we were able to cross almost all of South Korea in only two hours.

After getting back to Seoul, a group of us headed up to N Seoul Tower. When I tell you the city just kept going on forever, even from that high up, I mean it. The view from the cable car ride up was so pretty, especially seeing all the city lights at night, although we were packed in there like sardines.

After visiting the tower, I spent the rest of the night doing even more souvenir shopping before heading back for the night.
