Welcome to Pohang

This morning we were supposed to wake up at five. We were told that there would be an alarm to wake us so we thought we wouldn’t need to set one, but we were mistaken. My group and I woke up at like 7 missed breakfast and then immediately went on a walk to see the stone buddha. We had to climb up a ton of stairs, but the view was beautiful in the end, and the statue was actually very interesting. We walked down from the statue and started to pack up our things. Before we left, we had another session of martial arts training which really just showed me how unflexible I am. After that we had teatime with the grand master. during this time, we really just learned more about the origins of the religion and the temple that we were staying at. After this it was time to set out to our new adventure at Pohan. I sadly had to leave behind the beautiful robes that I was given.

We got on the bus and stopped for lunch at a place that had some great spicy Pork. The food was delicious and we talked a bit with a Korea local who a part of our tour David. The conversations were so interesting, and I learned a lot about how Korean high school and College are different from those in the United States. We arrived later in Pohang and had some free time so me and a group of people went to get meat skewers the restaurant was so fun and the food was amazing overall it was a great day.

I’m excited to see this city more because it is not as touristy as Seoul so there are definitely better spots to check out. When we got here, we first talked about how there were beaches nearby and ways to be able to visit them. I’m excited to later look into the beach and way to be able to eat on the beach with friends.
