This morning was a little rough as it was a bit of an earlier wakeup call and I was sleeping like a rock. I went downstairs without breakfast and immediately got on the bus to go visit a school that we are partnered with here in Korea Postech. We arrived on campus which was actually beautiful before being given and introduction of the school and tour of the campus. It was so interesting seeing how the universities here compared to Pitt. We later went to another presentation on research being done at Postech which focused on the impacts of chatbots in a growing antisocial society. This was really interesting and I wanted to know more about different research being done here which luckily was shown later.

After the beginning of the tour, we got some lunch from their cafeteria which was actually very good and then we met a friend that goes to Postech University. It was great talking with him and learning the differences between our cultures.

We went to a few research rooms where they were studying quantum computers which I thought were super interesting. And insane to have in a university. I was later shown up` on this account when we went on a tour of the particle accelerators that they have here. It was almost a surreal experience as something that I’ve seen so often in media was right in front of my eyes.

I think that it is so interesting how we have a partnership with such a strong University here in Korea. I genuinely would love to be able to come back to Korea to study at this University and to look at how I can do future research there. There are so many interesting things about Postech and I’m excited to get to tour it more this morning.
