Hanging Bridges!!

on

Today we visited a rain forest with hanging bridges and we kayaked on Lake Arenal. The hanging bridges were a lot scarier than I thought they would be. Kayaking was a lot of fun but very tiring.

The rain didn’t affect my activities too much today. Through our trip of the rainforest it did a rain a little bit but not too much. It actually felt kind of nice. I was carrying a book bag and it was very heavy so I was sweating. Luckily, it didn’t rain while we were kayaking. I think raining while it was kayaking would have ruined the experience for me. I don’t want to get soaked while kayaking and have to row through pouring rain.

Tourist companies in the slow rainy season may offer lower prices for their activities. This acts as an incentive for people to visit during the slow season. The companies know that a lot of people don’t travel to Costa Rica during this time so they want to offer a discount price so people still come. Farmers have plenty of time to prepare for the rainy season and can implement technology to help the plants thrive with so much water. While some plants need that much water, some may get too much so these technologies could be crucial for some species of plants.

I am very excited for tomorrow’s activities. Pura Vida!
