Take a moment to look at me with these cows.
Pretty cool right.

Anyways, outside of all the workdays, this was the day I was looking forward to the most. Finally done with work, and a free day all to us. I was debating between going to Munich or Salzburg but ultimately decided to go to Salzburg because I wanted to say I went to another country.
The train ride over was very chill. I sat next to a random German guy and we talked about our lives. He asked me about America, and I asked him about Germany. It was a very genuine conversation that I was glad to have.
Once we got there, we walked around for a bit. We first stopped at this palace and the place was beautiful. I got a lot of good photos here. We walked further into the city and eventually stopped at this cafe that was serving drinks in these unique bottles. This is where half the group split up. Half went to walk around more and shop, and the other went to hike The Sound of Music trail. I decided to do the hike because I thought it would be a different experience. Let’s just say I was not in the right attire to hike. Nonetheless, once I made it to the top (a sweaty mess) it was a vibe. The scenery was beautiful and the air was pure up there. I look back on this experience positively and I don’t even know The Sound of Music is – everyone got offended when I said that.
We hiked back down and went to the train station; just in time to catch the train. I admired the view on the way back, thinking about how this was the last time I would be seeing views like this for a while. We arrived back at the Munich train station and took the train back to Augsburg.
We wrapped up the night by all going out once last time. We went to this very nice rooftop bar that had a beach theme. My shoes got extremely sandy up here, but it was very chill. We walked around for a little bit after just taking in the city of Augsburg one last time.
Overall, today was great and I have nothing to complain about. I honestly thought I was going to be spending my free day drinking, but I didn’t even do that – which I am happy about. However, this is where the real emotions set in, as the trip was officially over.
