Ulm. Climbing 768 steps to top of Muenster Cathedral was possibly the worst experience of my life. All of us were virtually near death by the time we finally reached the top of the cathedral. At least no one threw up like people in previous years. We all had our barf bags ready just in case. There was a great view however. 5/10 would not recommend.
Overall Ulm was a very cute city, but there was nothing much in it. Cool churches, nice stained glass, and some great crepes, but nothing that really stood out. Still, I had fun on the last real planned day. Of course we learned a lot about history which is always a good time. The history of the Church was told through some of the stained glass in the cathedral. Through that, I learned that science is not necessarily at odds with religion. Both can coexist in the views of this Protestant church, and that is a step in the right direction.
The goodbye dinner was sad. Even though there is one day left, knowing our program is close to being over is almost unbelievable. I feel so comfortable here that aside from the different language I seldom notice we are in a completely different country.
But, what I really took from this day is that I need to stop skipping leg day. Stairs be damned.
