Next Stop: Augsburg!

Hi! My name is Ally DeVito, and I am a freshman in the College of Business Administration majoring in Global Management.  I’m originally from Wilmington, Delaware, which is about a five-hour drive from Pittsburgh.  These five hours may feel like a long trip now; however, they’re nothing compared to the eight plus hours of travel that I will soon be taking to arrive in Augsburg, Germany!  A fun fact about me is that I took a gap year, during which I picked up extensive travelling hours (jetting off to Asia, England, Cuba, and South Africa) that have prepared me for this trip – the planes and busses, the cultural immersion, and the new experiences that I will soon face!

As a student studying international business and someone who is obsessed with travelling and learning about life in other parts of the world, the opportunity to participate in the Plus3 Germany program seemed too good to be true.  I am ecstatic to leave for Germany and to spend two weeks learning about the country’s social and business culture, as well as gaining a further understanding of how businesses and industries work internationally.  I can’t wait for us all to embark on this trip and to look forward to the connections, experiences, and friendships that will be made!
