Hi everyone! My name is Meredith Irving and I am a business student pursuing a major in supply chain/marketing at the University of Pittsburgh. I am 18 years old, and from Buffalo, New York. I have just finished my freshman year and can’t wait to begin our travels in Italy. On campus, I am a member of the professional business fraternity, Phi Gamma Nu, as well as the sorority Delta Zeta. In my free time, I enjoy getting outside and exercising as well as exploring Pittsburgh and its surrounding neighborhoods with friends.

I have never traveled abroad before, which is why I chose to partake in the Plus 3 program, and figured it would be a good introduction to future study abroad experiences. I am hoping it will give me a little taste of a new country and a new perspective of the business world. I am very interested in the fashion industry, which is why I selected Italy as my first choice. After the trip, I hope I will take away some valuable professional experience in the supply chain industry as well as memories that will last a lifetime.

Although I am a bit nervous living in a foreign country for two weeks, I am so excited for all of the company visits and site seeings we will be participating in, and of course, all the delicious food we will be eating too! Ciao for now!
