After a full day of travel, we finally arrived in the beautiful city of Dublin. Our amazing tour guide, Hayley, greeted us at the gates with a warm welcome. After an exhausting flight, it was to my surprise being picked up in a “Collins Travel” bus. Honestly, doesn’t get much better as far as transportation goes than riding with “Collins Travel.” We began our walking tour around Dublin as soon as we dropped off our bags at our apartments and saw two beautiful churches. The first was “First Church Cathedral”, and then only a few blocks down was “Saint Paul’s Cathedral.” Both had incredible architecture and were breathtaking, I hope to see the inside sometime during my stay. We then got a brief tour of Griffith College where I will be taking my study abroad classes during my stay. It was only orientation so nothing too crazy to blog about.
After all the mad chaos, we finally had down time for myself and my classmates. First things first, we obviously had to shower and take a quick snooze before gaining full energy to explore Dublin. My first real Irish meal was at a pub a few blocks away called O’ Sheas. I got a delicious Lamb stew for under 10 euros than went out to enjoy the Dublin nightlife with a few classmates. Only after a first great day, I look forward to an exciting trip in a beautiful, cultural city with a great group of people!
