Lá seacht: Day Seven- I want to see Moher

Today was the day I’ve been waiting for the entire trip to see: The Cliffs of Moher. There are no words that are able to describe this masterpiece of nature in its purest form. I was blessed to have such great weather today, with the sun shining and the wind barely blowing. As I was walking around, I talked to one of the tour guides and he said that out of the 100 times he has visited the cliffs he has never seen a more perfect day. I also was able to see the castle on the hill (cue Ed Sheeran). I was able to visit O’Brien’s Tower which marks the highest point at the Cliffs of Moher. My professional reaction to the Cliffs was that it is a vital tourist attraction that brings in revenue and attraction to this beautiful, cultural country. I noticed all the different tourists from different countries which means the Cliffs are doing what they are supposed to be doing, making money. It is crazy to think that this beautiful attraction was almost sold to a wealthy German, which would’ve been a problem for Ireland.

I finished my trip to the Cliffs of Moher at Galway. Does this make me a Galway Girl (cue Ed Sheeran again)? I was able to eat at McDonough’s which has the best fish and chips in Ireland and then for dessert ice cream at Murphy. From a professional aspect, they were incredibly lucky to have Ed Sheeran performing for a weekend because of the amount of attraction it brought to restaurants, stores, and activities. Overall, today was incredible and I’m so blessed to have witnessed such a beautiful place in a beautiful country.
