The Day Before Departure :(

Today was a very sad day. It was our last full day in South Korea and none of us wanted to leave. I got up early and my friend Dylan and I decided to head to Haeundae Beach, one of the nicest in Korea. During popular beach times, there can be over a million people at the beach. We caught a taxi but somehow there was a miscommunication and we were dropped off a mile from the beach. As we got out, we saw extremely nice apartment buildings and some very nice luxury cars. We figured out that the taxi driver dropped us off at a very high-end place and we enjoyed seeing all the beautiful buildings and scenery. We finally got to the beach but decided to get some food before relaxing. We walked down the main street with all the tourist restaurants but found a side street that had a lot of seafood markets. We found a nice restaurant and got some amazing food. Afterwards, we went to the beach and ran into everyone else from our group. We all relaxed at the beach for a few hours, soaking up the sun. The water was too cold, but the temperate outside was perfect. We headed back to the hotel and got ready for our final presentation. Our entire group walked to a very nice restaurant with a private room, set up with a seafood buffet. This is where we each gave our presentations to the other student groups and chaperones. My group, group 3, pitched the idea of a crowdsourcing app that rated the free Wi-Fi in big cities such as Seoul. We thought this travel app was a good idea because many of us were always looking for Wi-Fi on the trip. By finding strong Wi-Fi locations, tourists would have a cheaper alternative to an international data plan. Everyone’s ideas were very good.  We then had an amazing last meal. We all headed back to the hotel for a good night’s rest because of the long day that awaited us. We were all dreading the long flights, and we were disappointed we had to leave. But everyone was also so grateful for the opportunity to learn so much in South Korea.
