When visiting a local Monteverde farm today, we learned quite a bit about the Tico farmers who live and work there. For instance, they tend to live very closely with the rest of the farmers, they tend to highly value education, and they take advantage of quite a few modern things, such as tourism and technological devices, to make their lives easier.

If I were born as a Tico farmer, I can’t say with absolute certainty what I would want to dedicate my life to. Personally, I don’t think my desires would change all that much, but rationally, I feel that I would be more inclined to helping run the farm.
