Bye Georgina!!

Today we visited the Turkish occupied area of Cyprus. Georgina first showed us around the ghost town are of the occupied side of the city. It was really sad to see how worn down the once bustling town was. The whole occupied area definitely had a different, almost eerie feeling, than the city of Nicosia.

After we visited the “ghost town”, we headed to Famagusta for lunch and free time. Georgina gave us a short guided tour of the city and the amazing history of the buildings there. I thought it was funny how they accepted both Lera and Euros. We stopped at a place Georgina recommended to us for lunch. We were starving and super excited to eat, only to find out their kitchen was closed:(. We did eat some yummy pastries and then we continued walking around the old city.

After we left the old city, we headed over to the beach at Konnos Bay. It was the most beautiful beach I’ve ever been to. It had the softest sand and it had no waves. It was almost like swimming in a pool and I could stay there all day.

Finally after the beach, we stopped at the sea caves. The view was beautiful at the caves. After a long day out, we headed back to the hotel to relax for a little. We tried out a little sushi restaurant for dinner called sushi time. It was really good and a perfect way to end the day!
