My last Cypriot cappuccino this morning :(. I am going to miss the food here so much! From the hotel breakfast to the authentic meals we had as a group, especially the meze.
Our final company visit was at Vasiliko Port. We talked with the managing director and operations director. They took us through how the company operates through person and machinery. We also spoke with Ms. Marina Andrea from VTTV who explained more about the supply chain side of the company. After the presentations, we got on the bus and drove to different parts of the ports to see the machinery in person.
We then headed to Larnaca for a final beach day. I enjoyed my last lunch of grilled halluomi, which was very much needed. Then we went to the beach to soak up more sun before going back to the hotel.
This trip has been an amazing experience for me, and a great introduction to traveling abroad. I have reconfirmed my love for traveling, experiencing new foods and culture, learning about history, and even more about my interest in supply chains. I am very grateful that we had two amazing professors to guide us and make us feel comfortable. So thank you to Chris and Mike for making my first abroad experience feel so natural and exciting!
Cyprus, maybe I will see you again one day… this can’t be my last time having grilled halloumi!
