We started off our day by getting Covid tests so that we can fly back to the US, and thankfully, everyone was negative. We then had our last company visit in Zygi at Vassiliko Cement Works. This company has 310 factories in 33 countries around the world. They produce cement, which makes up thirteen percent of concrete, the second most consumed material in the world. This takes place at Vassiliko Port, which we also met with a representative from. This port sees 300 vessels per year. Cement is the third largest exporting product of Cyprus. We then spoke to a representative from VTTV. They have many oil tanks where they store oil. They are a service provider, so they do not actually produce the oil. They just store it temporarily for their customers. Their amount of customers varies with the market conditions, but they try to keep customers coming back through their customer centered service.
After this, we then were able to tour some of these areas. I found the control area for the cement to be very interesting. We got to wear vests and hardhats, which I really thought was fun, when we went out to the port, which was not that different from the port that we had viewed in Limassol. We also went to see the oil tanks, and there was a pretty cathedral here from before the facility was built as well.

After this, we went back to the beach in Larnaca that we had been to on Friday. We got some food there, and then went around to some shops to pick up some last-minute souvenirs. We went for a walk on the beach, and the water felt a lot warmer than it had on the days that I had swam, so I was a bit sad that I had decided not to today. After that, we headed back to the hotel.

We had a group meeting after we returned, and when I got my Covid certificate, I discovered that my name had been misspelled. A group of us had to head back to the pharmacy to get this and other errors corrected. We then came back and played some trivia, which I was not very good at. I guess that I do not have the best memory.
After that, a group of us decided that we wanted to see the Turkish part of Nicosia. It was really easy to cross the border, but when we got there it was pretty dark and a lot of the places were quite empty so we decided to head back after we took a quick stroll around. We then grabbed some food from McDonalds and some crepes as we wanted a quick meal so that we could have time to pack. We sat and ate near the Freedom Square so that we were all able to enjoy our final night in the city. This trip has gone by so fast. It feels so recent that I first stepped off that bus into the same square. It has been a ton of fun though, and I have made so many memories and learned so much. I hope to come back again someday in the future.
