Today was the day. After all the company visits, today was the day we would all present about each one. My group was assigned BMW, which I was very happy with at the time because it was the only one I knew. However, after all the company visits I would’ve been happy being assigned any of them. I was super nervous to present my part since I was leading off the presentation. I needed to make sure I left an impression on the audience to set the tone for the rest of the presentation. To do this I spent a lot of time saying my part in the hotel room in front of Jerry. My group also met up with another group to present in front of each other for practice. The only issue was that none of the German students in our group were able to meet up with us beforehand to time the presentation. This left me very nervous that we might go over on time. Once it was time to present, we did a random number generator to decide who goes first. I was really hoping it was our group but we ended up being in the middle of the pack. Once it was time for us, I didn’t feel as nervous as I thought I would. I felt more prepared and confident in our presentation then I was days before. All in all, I believe my group did a fantastic job, and I want to thank everyone in the group for being awesome and very helpful whenever I needed help.
Following the presentations we gave all the German students our gifts for them. It was Pitt t-shirts, so obviously we had to get a group photo. After we ran back to our rooms at Ibis to get changed for the farewell dinner at the Ratskeller. I felt very emotional because this was the last time we were going to see the German students. I was very sad to say goodbye to Maxi though, he was very helpful the whole trip and hung out with all of us the entire time. I won’t forget any of the memories we all made together with him. Thank you Maxi, and we better see you again!
