Hello Everybody! My name is Kevin Coyne and I am a first year engineering student at the University of Pittsburgh. I am majoring in computer engineering and plan to do a coop in my upcoming years at Pitt.
I grew up in a town called McDonald which is close to the city of Pittsburgh. Growing up I had three older brothers. Two of them went to the University of Pittsburgh for engineering, which influenced me to do the same. My favorite hobbies include working out at the gym, playing video games, and watching movies and tv shows. I also have a part-time job as a outside operations manager at the Club at Nevillewood golf course over the summer.
I have never really traveled much. In fact, I never traveled outside the country. Going to Germany is going to be a new experience in that I can get to familiarize myself living in a different country with new customs and traditions. After this, I hope I get the opportunity to travel more as there are a lot more places to see.
I have chosen to travel to Germany because not only have I bever visited another country, but because of my German heritage. My mother’s side is mostly Germanic and would be nice to get in touch with my roots. Not only that, but Germany is a beautiful place to visit with many sites to see such as the Alps. I am also excited to learn about car manufacturing and international business while at Germany.
Overall, I am excited to visit and sightsee Germany. I hope to share and blog more about my experiences when I arrive.
