Hey everyone, I’m Ryan Schreyer and I am from Robbinsville, New Jersey. I decided to go to Pitt because of their immaculate business program and city location. I always knew I wanted to be a part of the study abroad program because of past stories about the program. I picked Costa Rica because of my Aunt who visits frequently. She has told me tons about the country and always encouraged me to visit, which lead me to putting down Costa Rica as my choice. I can’t wait to get to know everyone also attending Costa Rica and especially the host family I will be living with!

One other reason for choosing Costa Rica was to learn more Spanish. I have taken Spanish for 4 years now and would consider myself semi-fluent. By living in Costa Rica for a week with a host family, I hope to further expand my knowledge on the language!

I want to reiterate my excitement for this program when it comes to living in Costa Rica and meeting everyone else I’m accompanying!
