Arrived in Argentina

Hello everyone! I feel so much relief to have finally arrived in Buenos Aires, Argentina! Definitely very tiring after having two different flights. It never actually really hit me that we were in Argentina until the bus ride from the airport to the hotel. My first impressions were in the airport. In the airport everyone was so nice even though it was hard to communicate at some points. On the bus ride to the hotel from the airport, looking out the window I saw many buildings, palm trees, and different cars. The main thing I noticed was how different the cars were. The cars were just little cars and little SUV’s very few trucks. Which is different from The United States. I also noticed that there aren’t really any parking lots and people just park on the side of the highways and in the grass. People run on the main roads which in The United States no one runs on the side of the main highways. The weather was great! It was a high of 65 degrees Fahrenheit and the sun was shinning. After we got settled into the hotel we went to have a barbecue at the IES place. On the way there we walked and I definitely expected there to be more people out and about in the city. The city was a lot emptier and more quiet than what I expected. At the IES building we at the barbecue on roof top. It was such an amazing view and so glad I got to experience that. A few of us walked to a pastry shop and explored the city, it is such a beautiful city. We went to dinner around eight thirty and there was a lot more people out in the city. In Argentina what I have learned is more people are about the night life. The first day went extremely well and I can’t wait for the rest of the trip. I’m excited to walk more around the city and look, see, and try new things! I definitely want to go to more local restaurants and have a nice steak. Can’t wait for tomorrow!!
