Since checking out the Czech universities, I can tell that there are some differences between the two. The first one is that there is no major campus. Most of the school buildings aren’t right next to each other but are more spread out instead. Another thing I noticed is that there are no giant lecture halls. I can’t say if they don’t exist but from visiting some of the buildings, they are not prevalent. Grant, Josh, and I got the chance to play some basketball with some other students studying abroad at the university, but for a full semester. It was fun getting to know them and learning more about the Czech culture that they knew about.
On a different note. today we had two lectures at the university, the first was about the Czech language and we learned how to pronounce words in the Czech language. Knowing this information will make it much easier to read and speak the language when needing to. The other was on how engineering as impacted Czech Republic throughout history. I also got lunch at a nice cafe called Cafe Louvre, and it was really good and cheap.
