Floating Down the Vltava

College life in Oakland is a whole other world compared to Prague. Campuses here consist of academic buildings spread out throughout the city. Each department is split up into its own building, and it seems like there isn’t much interaction between departments at all. One of the best things about college life at Pitt is getting to meet people from all majors and having a campus to do stuff with friends. In terms of the classes, from what we have seen everything is on a much smaller scale and not like the big lecture halls I am used to back in Oakland. Overall, college here seems much more individualized and casual than at Pitt.

Outside of the classroom, I got to spend the day hitting all the best tourist spots. I got to see Franz Kafka’s head spin on the hour, the Dancing House, and even row down the Vltava River. I ended the day with the best gelato in the most charming spot from Creme de la Creme. Today was truly one for the books!
