Today, we took another bus ride to another city outside of Prague. The city of Kutna Hora was our destination, and it is widely known across Europe for being the central mine for silver. Supposedly, there was one point in Europe’s history where 40% of all silver mined came specifically from this town. We also toured multiple churches and explored the rural setting as a whole. Overall, this day was a nice change of pace as we were able to see how the country acted outside of Prague.

There are a few things that specifically stand out from this trip so far, and one of them has to be the food. While traveling around the city and country, we have experienced and eaten many different types of food. Meals ranging from Czech goulash to Salmon Pappardelle all were pretty amazing. Additionally, the way the meals are prepared and served makes you feel as if you are constantly in an upscale-dining environment. However, the food here goes even to a further level than that. I recently went on a walk and got an American Hot-Dog from a street vendor. When receiving the food, I was surprised to find that the cook put serious time and effort into slightly charring the bun. Overall it seems to me that the Czech culture upholds a strong food culture as even the smallest things about the food here can be very eye-opening in how they are made.
