Planes, Trains, and Automobiles!

We started the day struggling to catch a tram. This was ironic since Chris and us had previously joked about the plethora of public transportation we had relied on. Eventually, we made it to our first destination.

Nano Energies was the company we visited today. Their building and office was amazing. Very modern with plants everywhere and plenty of comfy seating options. They also provided us with amazing snacks! We learned about how this company helps to sell and manage greener energy systems and strategies. They help to balance out energy production and consumption so that revenue is saved in both directions. It was a very interesting concept and I really enjoyed hearing about the work they do.

After the company visit, we made a group pit stop at the pharmacy since a cold and cough has been going around our group! Thankfully I am built different and did not need to buy any medicine.

For lunch, we visited a local cafe recommended by our tour guide, Jana. I had a small pesto tomato sandwich that was perfect after all the snacks I took from the company visit. We enjoyed our lunch and talked for a while before our next activity.

We then headed up the hill to the Czech National Technical Museum. This museum was awesome! Inside the main atrium were old cars, planes, bikes, boats, motorcycles, and even a hot air balloon! Our tour guide took us through and showed us old cars from the end of the 19th century. We were also able to see the oldest Bugatti and Audi cars in the world. Additionally, we saw a few old Benz that were used by Czech presidents or as famous race cars. Our guide even mentioned that Mercedes Benz has offered a lot of money to buy some of their cars back, but the museum curator refuses to give up their prized possessions!

The museum also had plenty of historical astrological equipment, including artifacts from famous astrologists Tycho Brahe and Johannes Kepler!

After the museum we headed back to the hotel to rest and catch up on some work. Later tonight we will enjoy dinner on a cruise down the river! I can’t wait!
