About Me

Hi! My name is Abigail Goldman I am from Cherry Hill New Jersey, and I am currently a freshman at the University of Pittsburgh intending to major in Accounting and Business Information Systems. At Pitt I’m involved in student organizations, including Alpha Epsilon Phi, and UPAA (University of Pittsburgh Accounting Association). In my free time I love to hang out with friends and my chosen Plus 3 program is the Netherlands, which I am super excited for because I have been abroad before but never to Europe.

Throughout my high school career, I served as a DECA officer (DECA – a national business competition), and I worked as a gymnastics coach. As a result of these positions, I have gained experience which taught me how to dress, act, and network professionally.

The Netherlands

The Plus 3 program I have decided to journey on is to The Netherlands. I absolutely love traveling and cannot wait to be back exploring new places. I knew Plus 3: The Netherlands would be the perfect opportunity to do just that, and was even a factor for me when choosing to come to Pitt. I am looking forward to experiencing a new country.

Academically, I want to learn about the rich history and culture of the Netherlands, especially all the tulips, in addition to worldwide business techniques. Professionally speaking, understanding sustainable business methods is crucial in today’s environment. The state of the environment is sensitive right now, and as a prospective corporate worker, I think it is important to understand about what the future holds for the environment and how businesses can protect it. As someone also interested in Supply Chain I am interested to learn about concept to consumer. One day, I want to be able to navigate this industry with the knowledge I get from this trip.

I am incredibly appreciative of the chance to travel and study abroad, and I can’t wait to share more of my adventures on my blog.
