Introduction – Cassandra Roberts

Hello everyone! My name is Cassandra Roberts, but most people call me Cassie. I am from Hillsborough, New Jersey, and a first year here at Pitt. My major is undeclared within the College of Business Administration, but I plan on pursuing a degree in both business information systems and accounting. In my free time, I love to stay active, listen to music, and spend time with friends and family. On campus, I am involved in Theta Phi Alpha, the Accounting Association, and Women and Business, where I am an active member of the Content and Communication Committee.

I am thrilled to say that I will be traveling to the Netherlands this May through the University of Pittsburgh’s Plus3 program! I am very excited about this trip, as it will be my first time out of the country. I selected this program because I have always wanted to visit Europe, and I am especially interested in learning more about the trip’s focuses on supply chain and sustainability.

Spending time in the Netherlands will show me what business looks like on a global scale and provide opportunities to speak with various professionals in different industries. I am looking forward to enhancing my networking skills, developing professionally, and getting a better idea as to what I want my future career to look like. I cannot wait to build long-lasting friendships with my peers and partake in all the cultural visits in the Netherlands! I am most excited about visiting the Anne Frank House and seeing the tulips in bloom.

Overall, I cannot wait to embark on this trip, and I am so grateful for this opportunity. I know it will be an unforgettable experience, and I look forward to immersing myself in all that the Netherlands has to offer!
