About me

Hi! My name is Katie Voigt and I am a current sophomore pursuing a double degree in Finance and Marketing with a certificate in International Business. I will be traveling to Augsburg, Germany this summer through the Plus 3 program. I’m originally from Pittsburgh, PA! At Pitt, I am also involved in Alpha Delta Pi, a social sorority, and Alpha Kappa Psi, a professional business fraternity. This past semester I held the position of Director of Mental Wellness for AkPsi. This summer, I will be interning for a wealth management firm located in Pittsburgh, Greycourt. As a marketing intern, I will be able to shadow experienced professionals who have years of experience working in the financial industry.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I love to stay active some of my favorite activities include going on hikes, skiing, and going on runs. I am thrilled to go to Augsburg, Germany where I will expand my knowledge on the market of electric vehicles. I am especially excited to tour automobile companies like Audi who have been dominating the industry for decades. Learning more about Augsburg’s rich history as a global hub for trade and religion has made me look forward to experiencing this history in person.

What drew me to this program was the potential opportunity to grow not only as a business student here at Pitt but as a person. I have never traveled abroad without my family before and I think that traveling with a group of my peers will allow for growth and learning that I wouldn’t be able to experience otherwise. I’m looking forward to learning more about my peers who will be on this adventure with me as well as creating lifelong friendships along the way.
