Today was our free day of the trip and we all took advantage by taking a train to Salzburg, Austria. To make the most of it, Jacob, Matt, and I wore lederhosen there that we borrowed from the German students. When we arrived, I did not think great of Salzburg and to make it worse, the weather was terrible. As we got closer to the city center, I gained a different appreciation. The buildings and city were beautiful. There was a huge castle on a hill overlooking everything as well and you could see mountains in the distance. We went to a local restaurant to grab a bite then walked up to the castle. We were disappointed because we had to pay to get in, so we walked around and saw trails that we went on. We ended up seeing the whole city and castle from our point of view. It was amazing.

Salzburg was definitely one of the best places we visited on our program. I am glad that I ended up really enjoying the city as when I first got there. The program ends tomorrow, and I cannot think of a better way to end it than this.
