Today we made a trip to Hoerbiger for a company visit. We stopped at two different sites to get the full experience of the ins and outs of Hoerbiger’s operations. They showed us not only the factory side of the company but also the office and the employees’ day to day life which was very insightful. I would enjoy to work in a company that is very acknowledging of employee satisfaction and innovation. 

After our company visit we headed to Oberammergau.  Although the Alp’s view was blocked by fog/clouds I thought it was beautiful. The adventure up to the top was unforgettable and reminded me of Pittsburgh’s incline although much bigger. The German students joined us for the ride and it was another bonding experience for both groups to get to know each other a little better. 

After the Bavarian Alps we shopped in Oberammergau for a few hours before heading back to Augsburg. I bought an umbrella after not having one up to this point in the trip which was beyond needed. 

We had a very eventful day today and I’m excited to see what the rest of the trip has in store!
