Today we visited two companies – Grob and Forvia! We started off bright and early leaving the hotel at 8AM off to visit Grob. 

The inside of Grob’s building was beautiful and very futuristic. They treated us with coffee and pretzels which we all enjoyed while we listened to the first presentation. Grob is my company so I made sure to take notes and be fully engaged in the speaker’s points. They took us on a tour of the facility and was very informative of their machine making process which was very interesting. Their way of providing information was by far my favorite of the companies. 

After lunch and another lecture, we were off to Forvia. Another factory tour and presentations that were very interesting and insightful on the company’s priorities and motives. We interacted with multiple employees and asked questions about Forvia’s operations and long term plans for the future.

I was beyond excited to explore what the gym culture looked like in Germany. After asking some of the German student’s their recommendations for gyms to try out I chose to go to John Reed to give it a try. I have never seen a gym that extravagant in my life. The other members and staff were very kind and let me have a free day pass. I absolutely loved every second of the experience. 

Today was filled with a lot of information and learning. I am looking forward to continuing to indulge in Germany’s culture!
