Hello! I am Maddox Webner, and I am from Washington D.C.. I am currently at the University of Pittsburgh studying Business Information Systems, and planning to also double major in supply chain and get my sustainability certification. I’m involved in a range of academic and extracurricular activities that have showed me the importance of sustainability and global business. Personally, I’m someone who loves to travel and explore, whether that be different neighborhoods in Pittsburgh or traveling to a new country. I love experiencing new cultures, especially through food and nature. Professionally, I am still ambiguous on exactly I want to do, but for certain an aspect of sustainability and technology are key concepts that intrigue me greatly.
I’m thrilled to be a part of the Plus3 South Korea program and eager to explore the food and culture! My younger sister is from South Korea, and I visited once before, enamored with the culture and way of life I knew I had to revisit to gain a greater understanding and enjoy all the country has to offer. I also chose this program as Korea’s advanced nature in technology and utilizing it as a tool to aid in such a wide range of aspects interested me. Through the Plus3 program I hope to develop both professionally and personally by gaining new perspectives, global business insights, and deepening my understanding of how other countries utilize technology in our increasingly interconnected world.
