Day 4 (Hyundai, Han River)

We started our day at 6:50 a.m., heading out for a company visit. On the bus ride there, we had a Korean breakfast with fruit, granola, yogurt, a sandwich, and mochi. The ride took about two hours to reach the Hyundai factory, where 2,000 cars are assembled every day. It takes about 20 hours to make one car from start to finish.

Inside the factory, we saw four different car models being made, including both gasoline and electric vehicles. The process began with sheet metal being molded into various parts like doors, hoods, and more. These pieces were stored and then transferred to the welding area. Both robots and workers welded the car frames together. After that, the frames were painted entirely by robots. Once the paint dried, the cars moved down an assembly line, where wires and other hardware were added.

After the Hyundai tour, we got back on the bus and stopped at a rest area. It was different from the ones in America because it had many vendors and shops offering food, drinks, and coffee. We explored for a bit before continuing to our next stop—the Han River.

At the river, we had lunch delivered, which included rice and chicken, and it was delicious. We then boarded a cruise, where we got to feed sardines to seagulls flying alongside the boat. There was live music playing, and we saw a few attractions along the river.

After the river cruise, we returned to the hotel to freshen up. Later, we went out to explore the city, shop for gifts, and try some fun desserts. It was a busy but unforgettable day.
