Today was the company that I was looking forward to the most. We got to visit Audi. We took the bus there in the morning and started our day off at the museum. The museum was so interesting to me because we got to see old cars that Audi used to produce and how they have changed over time. One thing that was surprising and cool to me was that they had the car that was used in the Iron Man movies that Tony Stark drives. After we left the museum, we got an inside look at their factory. Their factory is really interesting because they have a mix of robotics and employees. The cars move on a conveyor belt while employees input things into the cars, such as the dashboard, as the cars keep moving. This improves efficiency. They also have cars being moved throughout the factory on conveyor belts on the ceiling. It was very interesting to look up and see cars floating above you. After the factory tour, we ate lunch at their cafeteria which had surprisingly good food. Then, we listened to a speaker. This was by far one of the best presentations I’ve heard so far this trip. The speaker was very honest and gave us information about the business of cars and car production. Before we left, we were able to shop around in their gift shops. They had lots of cool souvenirs. This was one of the best and most interesting company visits we’ve done so far. It was so much fun exploring the museum, especially. Once we got back to Augsburg, we had a calming and restful night because we had to get up early the next day. We went to dinner at a very good Italian restaurant and then went to bed. This was a great company visit!
