Today was the last day in Cyprus which is so hard to believe the time really flew here. But it was definitely a good day today with many amazing sights and fun times. Today we visited the St. Mina’s Monastery which was very cool and also very religious. The church’s artwork, including detailed icons and frescoes, reflected deep religious tradition and spiritual devotion. After the monastery, we visited the village of Lefkara to walk around and see some of the shops and sights. When we got there we were shown around an embroidery shop which Lefkara is famous for. We were also told that Leonardo Da Vinci visited a Lefkara embroidery shop and bought a lace which would be used in The Last Supper painting which was interesting. The rest of Lefkara was really beautiful and aesthetic with the narrow streets and there were so many good restaurants and shops that we stopped by. One of my favorite things was the Cyprus delights I don’t think I had ever had something like that before and it was really good and sweet. I definitely had to take a box of one home for my family. Overall, I really enjoyed my time here in Cyprus and I don’t think I will be regretting doing this trip anytime soon.
