Last Day in Limassol

Today was sadly our last day in Limassol and our last day in Cyprus in general. Although it was the last day, it was still definitely one of my favorites. We started our day off bright and early as we made our way to St. Mina’s Monastery. While we were here, we were able to go inside and take a look around all of its beauty. However, this was one out of the two monasteries we saw that we had to have our knees and shoulders covered for. The concept of this is super interesting to me because before coming to Cyprus, I had never been anywhere that requires both knees and shoulders to be covered. However, the inside of St. Mina’s Monastery was absolutely beautiful. I loved how the nature was so present in its beauty and gave it so much color. It was amazing how it consisted of a church along with a few other monastic buildings. I loved how there was a little spot near the exit where homemade preserves were – this was definitely one of my favorite things about it. It almost looked like a home with all of the balconies as you looked up. It was truly one of a kind! After we visited St. Mina’s Monastery, we then headed to our final destination – Lefkara Village. I can easily say that this was one of my favorite places we went to out of the entire trip, we even got to see the Church of the Holy Cross which was also so amazing. The village was so large and diverse yet so compact and easy to navigate at the same time. Not only that, but it was stunning. One thing that really stood out to me were all the beautiful doors that were all kinds of colors. I saw red doors, blue doors, green and so many more. This village also had so many adorable places to shop and eat, which I definitely took advantage of. I also loved how there were some cats wandering around. The cobblestone in this village gave such a historic and old aspect. Another one of my favorite parts was how there were old vehicles, like trucks and motorcycles, every now and there. It was such a beautiful village – I feel like it’s something I would see in a movie! Ending this trip off at Lefkara Village was definitely the best way to do it. I am so sad to be leaving Cyprus already, but I’m so happy with the entire trip. I’ll never forget my new favorite place!
