Today I learned about the Ellinikon Project, a massive $10 billion development in Athens that is transforming an old airport into a modern city filled with green spaces, advanced technology, and new buildings. What stood out to me was how something that used to be abandoned is being turned into a place where people will live, work, and spend time in the future. It made me realize how much planning and creativity go into projects on this scale, and how they can completely change a city over time. Thinking about it also made me interested in seeing it for myself someday, because by the time it’s finished, it could become one of the most impressive places in Greece, and possibly even in the world.
