Today, we visited Lamda Development S.A., which is a property management and development firm. During the visit, we attended a seminar where we learned about Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Geographical Information Systems (GIS), as well as a site visit of the Ellinikon Experience Park construction site. At the site, we learned about the duties of a project manager firsthand from Tasos Papapostolou, as he is currently a project manager for the Ellinikon Construction Project. I learned that project managers primarily focus on time and cost, as well as managing the workers on-site. This information was extremely useful, as I might become a manager in the future due to my strengths of communication and leading others and my major of Industrial Engineering. I will keep this in mind as I complete my education at Pitt.
